CSU Student Trustee Diana Aguilar-Cruz to Visit Cal Poly, Speak with Students

San Luis Obispo, Calif. Dec. 6, 2022 — California State University Student Trustee Diana Aguilar-Cruz will visit the Cal Poly campus and speak with students about their ideas, concerns, and more related to Cal Poly and the CSU system. 

Aguilar-Cruz will hold open office hours for the campus community to attend in the Cal Poly Recreation Center’s Training Room on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, from 11:10 a.m.–12 p.m. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

Aguilar-Cruz is a CSU Board of Trustees member (2022–24) and part of what helps oversee the CSU system; the board’s responsibility is to adopt the rules, regulations, and policies that govern the CSU system. The board is a 25-member group of appointed Trustees, CSU system officers, and ex officio Trustees — which includes California Gov. Gavin Newsom. 

A third-year student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, majoring in biology, Aguilar-Cruz served as the Cal Poly Pomona Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Officer of Academic Affairs from 2021–22. She is also the co-founder of a volunteer-based organization that helps students reach their undergraduate degrees and earn jobs.
