2021–22 ASI Presidential and Board of Directors Winners Announced

San Luis Obispo, Calif. 4/22/2021 — The 2021–22 Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) presidential and Board of Directors winners were revealed today on asi.calpoly.edu. Tess Loarie was announced as the 2021–22 ASI president with 1,113 votes. From the College of Liberal Arts, Tess is a Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies major and the current ASI Chair of the Board of Directors. Tess promises, “To be an active listener to your needs, to work towards accessible solutions that recognize the varying needs of a diverse student population, to be consistent, transparent, and honest in my communication to you, and to embody selfless, collaborative leadership to work alongside the student body, not above you. While I don’t have a catchy slogan, I have a demonstrated commitment to the student body and a desire for a better Cal Poly.
Tess received 1,113 total votes out of the 1,979, or 9.4 percent, of students voting in this election through their Cal Poly Portal and the ASI website from Wednesday, April 21 at 9 a.m. through Thursday, April 22 at 9 a.m.
The ASI Board of Directors serves as the official voice of Cal Poly students regarding student advocacy efforts and ASI corporate activity. Winter quarter enrollment numbers determine the number of board seats for the following academic year. The 2021–22 board members and their colleges are as follows:
