Swae Lee will be taking the stage on Wednesday, May 29 at the Cal Poly Recreation Center Main Gym (Building 43). Doors open at 6 p.m. with student DJ I.P. What’s The Addy kicking us off at 7 p.m. before Swae Lee takes the stage. Registration is required and will open on Tuesday, May 14 at noon. As always, free for students.
Swae Lee is the younger and rhythmic half of the Southern hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd with versatile music and sound that is undeniably Swae. Outside of his duo work, Swae has made a name for himself with tracks such as 20x Platinum “Sunflower” with Post Malone, Diamond Certified “Unforgettable” with French Montana, showing off his noteworthy writing credits in tracks such as Beyoncé’s “Formation” and Travis Scott’s Diamond certified “Sicko Mode.” Swae’s repertoire is not exclusive to the R&B and hip-hop sphere as he can take on a ballad form and mesh into a more electronica background.
