The 11th Annual Mustang Mile is back on Cal Poly’s campus!
Hosted by ASI Events and ASI Intramural Sports, everyone’s favorite 5K of fun run returns on May 17 at 6:30 p.m. in collaboration with WITH US Center for Bystander Intervention at Cal Poly, Campus Health & Wellbeing, Friday Night Live, and Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Mustang Mile honors the memory of Carson Starkey, a Cal Poly student who passed away in 2008 from alcohol poisoning after a fraternity hazing incident. The Mustang Mile hopes to provide health and wellness resources that educate students on the signs of alcohol poisoning and the dangers of binge drinking to empower them to act and help others in harmful situations.
As always, costumes are strongly encouraged! See you at the starting line!
Registration for Mustang Mile is open through the Cal Poly Ticket Office. Participants can pick up their swag bags and race timing chip on Wednesday, May 17 from 4–6:30 p.m.
Registration Prices:
- $15 for an individual
- $40 for a group of four
