Apply Now for ASI Social Justice Program Funding

|

Applications for ASI Social Justice Program Funding for the 2019–20 academic year are now open. Currently chartered Cal Poly Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), departments, and Instructionally Related Activities (IRAs) are eligible to apply for funding which can be used to support events intended to educate students on issues facing underrepresented minority students.

“Social Justice Funding is a great resource for anyone on this campus who wishes to educate the community on topics of diversity, inclusion, and equity,” Vice Chair of the ASI Board of Directors Alan Faz said. “This is a great opportunity for our campus community to engage in different activities throughout the year to make our campus a better place for everyone.”

Applications are available on the ASI Student Government website and can be submitted to the Student Government office located upstairs in the Julian A. McPhee University Union. Events seeking to be co-sponsored through funding should aim to enrich the overall campus community and champion social justice, diversity, and inclusion for a broad range of Cal Poly students. Funding will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is the second year the Board of Directors has designated funds to co-sponsor events that promote educational opportunities for the campus relating to social justice, diversity, inclusion, and issues facing underrepresented minority students. Co-sponsorship is limited to a maximum allotment of three events per year/per group not exceeding $2,500 in total.
