Special Events
ASI brings a wide range of special events to Cal Poly including celebrity speakers, comedy shows, films, poker tournaments and annual activities like Dusk 'til Dawn. The variety of shows offered is sure to capture many different student interests.
While most special events are purely entertainment, ASI Events also provides educational opportunities with its popular ASI True Life Series, which included a pornography debate between Ron Jeremy and Pastor Craig Gross, a discussion regarding alcohol and drug abuse with actor Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner from the hit show Full House) and a debate on Intelligent Design vs. Evolution.
True Life Series philosophy: to provide students with the tools and information needed to make educated decisions regarding controversial topics.
