The Cal Poly Sports Complex was jointly funded by Associated Students, Inc. and Cal Poly State University. The facility opened in fall 2000, to provide facilities for the programmatic needs for student recreation, intercollegiate athletics and academic related activities. The complex is comprised of seven lighted multi-purpose fields that include three softball infields, an NCAA regulation baseball stadium and an NCAA regulation softball stadium.
Over the past decade, the three upper sports complex fields have been the main playing surface for more than 450 intramural soccer and flag football teams, various tournaments, club sport Lacrosse and ultimate Frisbee, intercollegiate soccer and spring football workouts, Greek sports activities and student life events.
