"For over 20 years, SCLC has offered a way for students, City and University officials, and community leaders to communicate, build trust and tackle community issues. Through SCLC, good things get done, tough problems get solved, and friendships are made."
Ken Hampian, City Administrative Officer
San Luis Obispo
"SCLC provides a valuable forum to openly discuss issues that affect our community, especially those related to our student residents. Anytime college students share neighborhoods with non-student residents, there will be conflicts over things such as noise, parties, traffic and the care of rental properties. SCLC allows stakeholders to come together on a regular basis to discuss how we can all work together to reduce these conflicts. More importantly, SCLC creates productive and respectful relationships among students, City officials, elected representatives, and neighborhood associations and residents."
