Voting members include representatives from:

2. Associated Students of Cuesta College
3. Cal Poly and Cuesta Administration
4. San Luis Obispo City Mayor's office and council members
5. San Luis Obispo Police Department
6. San Luis Obispo City Administrator's office
7. San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors

The SCLC's chair position is designated for the president of Cal Poly's student body to demonstrate parity between students and community officials. The Vice Chair position is held by the president of the Cuesta College's student body.
