PE Rafting - White Water Rafting

White Water Rafting. This trip is the definition of hard core. We head into the far reaches of Northern California over MLK weekend to raft the scenic Trinity and Klamath Class III rivers. Trip leaders are trained professional commercial raft guides and Poly Escapes follows all rafting safety protocols. At night we camp under the stars. PE Canyoneering - Death Valley Canyoneering

PE Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Aid Designed to provide outdoor leaders, guides, and rescue personnel an introduction to First Aid and patient care in remote settings. Special topics include wound management and infection, realignment of fractures and dislocations, improvised splinting techniques, patient monitoring, and long-term management problems, plus up-to-date information on environmental emergencies. Two-year Wilderness First Aid certificate issued. Can be used as a refresher for students with a current Wilderness First Responder Certification. This course does not include CPR. All levels of training and experience are welcome. Students recertifying Wilderness First Responder must have current WFR training from WMI, SOLO, NOLS, OpEPA, WMA, or WPT. PE Backpacking - Light Weight Backpacking

Light Weight Backpacking. Light and fast here we come! Take your backpacking skills to the next level as you learn how to lighten your pack while keeping comforts on the trail. Then put yourself to the test as we hike through Big Sur on a 40-mile quest. Previous backpacking skill is not required but HIGHLY recommended. MUST have a high level of physical fitness. PE Hike - Beacon Hill Night Hike

Beacon Hill Night Hike. Join us on this relaxed Friday night hike to the top of Beacon Hill, also known as High School Hill, overlooking San Luis Obispo. If you have hiked Madonna and Bishop, Beacon Hill is the last in-town hike that you must try. We meet at 8pm in the Admin Parking Lot, carpool to parking on Lizzie Street, hike up the hill and enjoy the stars, views, and some hot cocoa. We will be done around 11pm, and it is absolutely FREE!
