Duties: Under the supervision of the Student Manager for Intramural Sports, the Intramural Sport Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing specific intramural sports as assigned. The Supervisor is responsible for training, supervising and evaluating a staff of Officials to assist with this task. As a part of the Intramural Sports Staff, the Supervisor will assist in establishing clear program direction, evaluate each sport, and solicit feedback from participants. The Sport Supervisor spends a significant amount of time supervising intramural activities on weekends and at night. The Supervisor is also responsible for enforcement of Intramural Sports Rules/Procedures and ASI Recreational Sports Policies.
Requirements: Must have officiating experience, administrative skills and a working knowledge of Intramural Sports programming. Must be a currently enrolled student at Cal Poly with a minimum of 6 units. All ASI student staff must have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Graduate students must carry 4 units/3.0 GPA. Ability to be highly organized and have good planning skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. First Aid and CPR Certification required. Ability to work with diverse populations and those with special limitations or needs. Experience with program participation preferred. Experience with administration, supervision, advising or public relations. General knowledge of program services. Experience in leadership or management. Organizational abilities and experience. Program specific experience preferred. Ability to supervise student staff and/or participants.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise program participants. Train, supervise, schedule and evaluate sports officials.
