Intramural Sports
Get active, make new friends and show off skills or develop new ones by joining or starting an intramural sports team. Choose from a variety of structured sports leagues and tournaments that are offered in a safe, recreationally competitive environment. We welcome the participation of all Cal Poly students, alumni, faculty and staff who are members of the Recreation Center.
Registration
Registration typically occurs during the first two weeks of each quarter. Sport leagues fill quickly, so please be ready once registration opens. Sport tournament registration will remain open until 48 hours prior to the date of the tournament. To register, click the link below. Please use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox web browsers when registering; Safari is not supported by our software.
Levels of Play
To accommodate and satisfy a wide range of recreational participants, each sport is divided into divisions and gender leagues. We offer men's, women's, and co-recreational leagues. Co-recreational leagues consist of teams with both men and women playing a sport with modifications to the rules.

Refund Policy
Full refunds are available if the request is made 72 hours prior to a team's first scheduled game. In order to receive a refund, Team Managers must come to the Recreation Center and complete a Refund Request Form. Refunds may take up to two weeks to be processed. If a refund is requested within 72 hours of the team's first game, a $30 administrative fee will be assessed and you will be charged for games already played (one fifth of the registration cost).
Jobs
The ASI Intramural Sports program seeks enthusiastic applicants for officiating and sport supervisor positions on campus. These paid positions provide individuals the opportunity to build leadership skills and collaborate with other Cal Poly students to create a quality intramural sports program. Please reference the job descriptions below for additional information regarding each position. Position openings vary throughout the academic year. Current job openings are posted at ASI Jobs.
The Intramural Sports program is open to all Cal Poly students, alumni, faculty and staff who are currently members of the Recreation Center.
Free Agents
Participants who would like to play intramural sports but do not have a full team may play on a Free Agent team. Participants register for a Free Agent team online through ASIConnect or at the front desk of the Recreation Center. This initial registration is free of charge and reserves a spot on a Free Agent team. After registering for a Free Agent team, participants will attend the Free Agents meeting where they will pay for their portion of the team and meet their teammates. Team Managers
Main Responsibilities:
After registering for an Intramural Sports team, the designated team manager must complete the Online Manager's Quiz 48 hours prior to his/her team's first league game. Team managers are responsible for reading and understanding everything in the Intramural Handbook and educating all team members on all Intramural processes and procedures. Team managers are responsible for their team, including verifying that all players are eligible to participate, are only participating in one gender league and one co-recreational league, and are not in violation of intercollegiate/sport club restrictions as outlined in the IM Handbook. They are also responsible and held accountable for behavior of the team and spectators. Please review the entire roster and make sure all of your teammates have filled in all appropriate information. All players must read and sign an individual "Release and Waiver" one time per school-year for all ASI Intramural Sports.
Game Schedules:
The schedules for each sport will be posted on the website before your team's first game. To request the rescheduling of a match, contact the Intramural Sports Office at (805) 756-6044 48 hours prior to the scheduled game time. Failure to do so will result in an automatic loss for your team and a forfeit fee may be charged. Following a second forfeit, your team will be dismissed from the league. Reschedules are not guaranteed and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
