Our fitness program provides a welcoming environment designed to educate and promote a healthy lifestyle for all fitness levels. Our diverse and comprehensive fitness classes, from Body Pump, to Zumba or Yoga, are taught by a team of highly-skilled, certified instructors. Nationally certified personal trainers are also available to create a fitness plan designed just for you.

Group Exercise Classes
From 6-Pack Abs to Power Yoga, take your pick of more than 15 unique group fitness classes to choose from offered seven days a week various times throughout the day. The group exercise classes are included with Recreation Center access for students and non-student participants. The diverse, comprehensive offering of classes are taught by a team of highly-skilled, certified instructors. Classes range from 30-90 minutes in length and most are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made at the Pro Shop for two of our more popular classes, Body Pump and Breakaway Cycling to ensure you get a spot at your favorite time. Class times are available on the fitness calendar or from the group exercise class schedule (PDF).
Instructional Classes
Looking for a welcoming environment to expand your fitness horizons and get extra motivation? There are a variety of instructional classes available with educational foundations that include the latest trends in fitness and wellness. These classes are designed for all levels and abilities with a progressive framework to build on skills throughout the quarter. Muay Thai/Krav Maga
Get a rigorous workout through intense cardiovascular and abdominal work while learning hand and foot techniques, striking, and defensive skills. Krav Maga is a simple, effective, reality based self-defense class that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques and training scenarios. These easy to learn techniques can empower you, making you more confident and give you the tools to protect yourself and your family. This class can be quickly learned and mastered by anyone, regardless of age, size or previous training. This also develops cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and core strength. All fitness levels welcome.

Shorin Ryu Karate
Learn basic techniques, kata, self-defense, fighting, stretching and physical conditioning. Develop power, speed, self-confidence and proficiency in realistic self-preservation situations in a safe, formal, disciplined environment. All fitness levels welcome.
- Class Attire—Comfortable sweat pants or shorts and shirt that allows for a full range of movement; Gi's recommended but not required. Shoes are not required but please where shoes to the Martial Arts Room.
TRX (Total Resistance eXercise)
The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original circuit training system that leverages gravity and body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. Adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. Your certified trainer will use other fitness tools such as jump ropes and medicine balls for a complete full body workout, all in 45 minutes. TRX stands for

Essential Self-Defense
Classes focus on basic self-defense including the physical by developing techniques through partner and pad drills and the mental mind set and physical fitness through short intense workouts to help keep you prepared for anything.

Rent-A-Class
Your group or club can tell us what kind of class you want and we'll provide the instructor for a one-hour class. Choose from any of the classes the Recreation Center has to offer. Email the Fitness Program Coordinator to schedule your class.
