University Matters

The students serving under the University Matters position will be in charge of initiating, organizing, and carrying out student outreach and advocacy efforts.
• Work to address Universitywide issues (i.e.: sustainability, transportation, safety, Campus Dining, student services, diversity, etc.)
• Research, address, and advocate for current student issues
• This position will be working very closely with various University entities to address the large student issues that arise
• Work very closely with the other three positions in the Executive Cabinet as well as the other members of Student Government to put on CP Next, Sustainability Week, and Diversity Week (if determined those are events the campus wants to see)
• Document involvement with all University entities for future leaders
• Attend BOD workshops and UUAB meetings regularly

Student Connection and Collaboration
|

The students serving under the Student Connection and Collaboration position will be in charge of initiating and maintaining relationships with various clubs and organizations on campus
• Attend club meetings and College Council meetings quarterly with ASI Student Government updates/announcements and take in feedback
• Develop and maintain working relationships with Student Life and Leadership, Women's Programs, MultiCultural Center, Pride Center, Inter Housing Council, Sports Clubs, Greek Organizations, etc.
• Track and report group concerns back to ASI Officer team/BOD/UUAB when necessary
• Document involvement with all campus clubs and organizations for future leaders
• Attend BOD workshops and UUAB meetings regularly

Legislative Affairs

The students serving under the Legislative Affairs branch will be in charge of tracking University, local and state legislation as well as serving as Co-Chairs of Lobby Corps.
•Tracking University, local, and state legislation and making information readily available to the student body
•Follow progress and legislation passed at California State Student Association (CSSA)
•Keep the ASI Officer team/BOD/UUAB informed and educated on all the above actions/information
•Lobby Corps
o Lay the ground floor and work on building Lobby Corps for future years
o Get the word out to students, see how they would like to see Lobby Corps run on our campus
o Chair the Lobby Corps meetings
•Document involvement with all campus clubs, organizations, entities, and outside sources for future leaders
•Attend BOD workshops and UUAB meetings regularly

The students serving under the Public Affairs position will be in charge of the public relations and marketing aspect of Student Government.
•PR & Marketing to keep students informed with everything related to Student Government
•Discover new, innovative, effective ways to outreach to students
•Focus on individualized student outreach and advocacy
•Find out the wants/needs/ideas/concerns of students with the help of the other Exec Cab positions
•Work in collaboration with BOD/UUAB for outreach efforts
•Document involvement with all campus clubs, organizations, entities, and outside sources for future leaders
•Aide with Community Relations as needed by the ASI President
•Attend BOD workshops and UUAB meetings regularly
