ASI is committed to prioritizing the safety and security of our students, community members, and facilities. We are following all campus guidelines led by the university as it continues to monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19 and closely follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Health, and California Department of Public Health.

With that said, we want to take a moment to update you about the efforts we are taking in our facilities and programs. Please note that facility hours and programming are subject to change.

The California State University (CSU), has suspended all recreation center operations within the CSU system. This includes all programs and services at the Cal Poly Recreation Center including ASI Poly Escapes, the Climbing Park, and The Pro Shop.

This includes staff working in emergency services and the Emergency Operations Center. These services are limited to those that have already been identified and approved. No other additions will be made.

Current participants will be contacted via email to pick up projects or locker items or can contact the Craft Center for more information. Out of precaution for the safety and security of our community, the 2020 Spring Craft Sale has also been canceled. Spring quarter virtual programming will begin on April 6.

Your Help Matters

  • If you are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we request that you please do not participate in programming.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of approximately 6 feet from others when possible.
