Ever wanted to become scuba certified, make stained glass, or go on a weekend backpacking adventure? You can experience all of these and more this quarter with ASI!

Winter quarter registration for the following program areas is now open on ASI Access

  • ASI Craft Center: Create, design, relax, and restore in the Craft Center with a variety of class offerings and studios for all skill levels to explore. Student instructors lead creative classes that all students and Cal Poly community members can experience including flameworking, ceramics, jewelry making, and surfboard shaping.
  • ASI Poly Escapes: Limitless adventure awaits with Poly Escapes, a premier outdoor adventure program with over 60 outstanding yearly excursions and guided trips throughout San Luis Obispo County and California. This quarter, student trip leaders will take participants to a variety of destinations including Big Sur, Mammoth Lakes, Yosemite National Park, and Death Valley National Park. A variety of trip types are available including backpacking, bicycling, camping, rock climbing, surfing, and trail maintenance.
  • Aquatics: Choose from a variety of classes in the Olympic-size lap pool and leisure pool at the Cal Poly Recreation Center. Safety certifications and swim instruction are available for all skill levels from beginner to master swimmer. Scuba certification courses include lectures, confined water pool sessions, and open water ocean dives.
  • Fitness: The Recreation Center offers specialized classes that incorporate a progressive framework to build on skills learned throughout the quarter. These classes are designed for all skill levels and include Capoeira, TRX, Krav Maga, acro yoga, and more. All classes are free for Recreation Center members to try during the first week of winter quarter.

Registration for ASI Intramural Sports leagues and tournaments will open on Friday, Jan. 11.

  • ASI Intramural Sports: A variety of indoor and outdoor team sports, leagues, and tournaments are available at low costs to keep participants in the game all quarter long. All skill levels are welcome to participate and each sport is split into divisions and gender leagues. Visit ASI Intramural Sports for offerings and registration times.

Participants with Cal Poly portal access can register for specific offerings through ASI Access. Participants that do not have portal access must register in person with the specific program area. Learn more about each program and registration requirements on the ASI website.
